News : Gallery to be the site of New Public Library

View of new library.

The BALLS is becoming a popular spot.

Bay Area Lending Library Services (BALLS) is the new cool place to have hit Sinners Bay town.
With its glamorous views of the bay through its generous gallery windows, the BALLS library is cited to be amongst the most ambient places to go and is fast becoming a hot spot for networking and socialising.

BALLS is introducing monthly reading club gatherings as well as other workshops in a bid to bring culture to the masses.
Only time will tell exactly how Sinners Bay residents will take to this idea.

News : Art Theft Leads to Gallery Closure.

The short lived Sinners Bay local artists gallery (SLAG) saw foreclosure on its premises when an art theft left the gallery completely devoid of its contents.

Early investigations seem to point to the gallery's chief curator as a possible suspect in what looks to be an inside job.

Neither the curator nor the police were on hand to give the press a statement at the time of this report.

News : Public Service Law Amendment

The Public Service Law (PSL), implemented by the local council in December of last year, was again revised earlier this week.
The white papers issued by the council advises citizens and visitors to Sinners Bay to be aware of the following :

Under the PSL, any person may be lawfully traded at public auction in Sinners Bay Market Square for a specific period of indentured labour as a form of restitution.
Rather than to incur more public spending in costly and lengthy legal processes; the law immediately applies to all persons who are unable to afford or unwilling to pay for any form of incurred debt.
A person who has been served with a PSL is actively placed in public auction for a period of 48 hrs during auction days. The public is invited to make private bids for any person on the auction block and their PSL contracts.

Persons whose PSL contracts are not bought by the public during auction, must serve their sentence in one of the following jobs* :
1) Selling Fish and Chips at the Cod Father
2) Waitressing at the Dogs Bollocks Pub
3) Table Dancing at the Dogs Bollocks Pub
4) Manning the laundry at the King Koin Laundrette
5) Offering Maid Service at the Bay Motel

*Job conditions are specified in each individual PSL contract and varies uniquely. This may involve the use of special uniforms, specific service or other apparatus.

A PSL can also be issued for the violation of the following state laws.

a) Prostitution without a license
b) Gambling without a license
c) Jaywalking
d) Leaving a vehicle unattended
e) Drunk and disorderly conduct
f) Impersonating a police officer
g) Obstruction
h) Littering
i) Shoplifting
j) Disturbing the peace
k) Public Indecency / Lewd Conduct

A PSL circumvents the need for prisons and prisoner systems.
The PSL is only suitable for minor and petty offences carrying a maximum sentence of up to 1 week.

New Editor to Take the Helm at the Daily Sinner

New Editor to take the Helm at The Daily Sinner

Associated Sinners Press - April 16, 2011

Sinners Bay, Second Life - Rumor has it that a new editor has finally been named to replace interim editor Shaggy Littleboots as editor of the Daily Sinner.

Ms. Littleboots will continue to work as first Ass Editor and help with the transition.

When asked if she regretted not being named editor, Ms. Littleboots responded, " Uh, Uh, wow, er, I guess it's not like a major disappointment, or nuthin. I mean, uh, I guess that since the new editor realizes I'm still the number one ASS, administrative support specialist, the best ASS in the office, that while that's not like ult, much less ult mag, uh, sure. I mean it's not like they're gonna pay her ASS anymore then they do me, so yeah, uh, it's ok. I'm cereal, it really is." ".

Sources are quiet at the moment as to the identity of the new editor. But this reporter has it on good authority that the new editor is a an incorruptible crusader out to rid the stain of corruption from Sinners Bay.

Billionaire's Death in Sinners Bay - Hoax?

(Pic : a recent portrait comissioned by Mr Mortimer Waddington)

Uncle Mort reputed to have died in Sinners Bay on all hallow's eve was recently seen harassing a young bar patron at the Dogs Bollocks according to several eye witness accounts.

Mortimer Waddington, was a reputed eccentric who bought the supposedly haunted house on Sinners Peak - convinced that it was a portal to an evil dimension. A black sealed envelope proclaiming his death and a reading of Mr Waddington's will went out to many residents all claiming to have been close to the man - whose death may very well have been exaggerated.

Neither Mr Waddington nor his Lawyers were available for comment on this matter.

News: Hair today, Gone tomorrow?

The once gloriously red locks of one Stubby McGinnis, local business owner, have been blemished by the attack of a woman upon both his person and his vanity. Mr. McGinnis, one of those men lucky enough to have all his hair even at the age he might be, was apparently the victim of an assault by Raynee Jewell, known to be an employee of Mr. Hawk Zsun, a local business owner himself, who has just recently owned a club within Sinner's Rest.

It seems that Ms Jewell, as well as her friend Ms. MarySue Devall, have some past grievance against Mr. McGinnis as the local rumor mill churns out.

At this time, no assault charges have been filed, but it seems, for the same of his health, sanity, and hair, Stubby has now opted to sue Mr Zsun for damages.

Oh, what a tangle we weave, when our combs do deceive!

News : Ultor Investments Sinks Millions into Sinners Bay

Ultor Investments' CEO - Miss Shelbey Xue, has confirmed what has been previously rumored. In an exclusive interview, Miss Xue acknowledged that the company plans to invest in re-starting the prison in sinners bay that would see the facility to its full functioning capability.

Whilst exact figures were not discussed… Miss Xue also alluded that Ultor Investments had a wide range of interest in businesses within the vicinity - citing that Ultor was a multi-service industry.

Miss Xue was rather vague about these interests though 'Research' was discussed as one of the key directions of the company, as well as 'Event Security'.

Miss Xue herself hails from Cyan, but was tight lipped about her past simply stating that her reason for moving was that ".. it was getting a little rowdy there."

Ultor Investments is a relatively new company but is backed by Briden Co. Enterprise - a well established mass franchise whose company director is none other than Miss Xue's estranged Father.

Businesses seeking financial investment in the bay area now have an alternative to drawing loans from Sinners Bank and Trust. It looks like life in the bay area may just be looking up!

News : CLUB opens in Sinners Bay

Photo of Mr Dante Haustraun, CLUB spokes person and CEO

Consolidated Local Union of Businesses or CLUB ,
represented by Mr Dante Haustraun, was in Sinners Bay on Sunday evening to distribute information about the organisation.

The rather dashing Mr Haustraun, when asked about CLUB and it's activities said

"I'd like your readers to know that they aren't alone, that they don't have to be scared, and that there is hope for them and for this town. Let them know that I'm looking forward to getting to know each and every one of them, and that joining the CLUB is like joining a family; we take care of our own.
"

Mr Haustraun was of course referring to the recent migration out of Sinners Bay that has left some of the local businesses struggling for clientele in what was once a thriving tourist town… Some attribute this to the lack of police activity and ineptness in apprehending any suspects on the part of law enforcement in the murder of Laura Dreadlow. Others blame it on the wild life and rumoured hauntings.

Whatever the reason - it is clear that Sinners Bay is a town in crisis. Perhaps CLUB holds the rejuvenation the town needs to create a stable economy. Mr Haustraun truly believes that "…A strong union can affect change, but nothing in life comes for free. " as he spoke of the price it would cost local businesses on the margin, to buy into the idea of a union.

"..the reason these businesses haven't seen a customer in weeks is because the town is scared. If they join the CLUB, if they bolster our numbers, and they see the changes taking place, then the customers will return and the businesses will prosper…how can they afford NOT to join the CLUB?' "

In a tough economic year, businesses will want to see results and Mr Haustraun promises that he has hard evidence of similar businesses thriving in places where CLUB has rooted themselves. He further explains "…What happens when one business is burglarised? Nothing. The owner turns to the local police, and nothing is done about it. Now, what happens when all the local businesses turn to the local police and tell them to fix the problem or we'll find ourselves a new private police force? Then you'll see how quickly criminals are caught!"

The watch word here seems to be joint co-operation in putting pressure on the authorities in an organised fashion. Just how successful Mr Haustraun might be in convincing the locals in the bay area that this is the way forward , remains to be seen but it would seem the idea has merit.

More information about CLUB can be attained from the offices of CLUB in Sinners Bay that Mr Haustraun is currently setting up.

News : Burglary reveals dead girl had mental problems.

A burglary that had recently taken place indicates that dead girl, Laura Dreadlow, had been seeing a therapist. Sources say that Dr Jake Hobie, the therapist in question, had been struck on the head by a paperweight and left unconscious, as his office was ransacked for notebooks and tapes. Amongst the property stolen from his office were two years worth of recorded therapy sessions between Dr Hobie and Laura.
Dr Hobie's part time secretary was also a victim in this crime though she eventually managed to find help for her boss by dialing 911 despite her struggles in bondage.

The theft comes as a blow as these therapy sessions may well have been able to shed some light and provide possible new leads for the ongoing investigation into the murder of Laura Dreadlow.

Both Agent Dresden and Dr. Hobie were unavailable for comment during time of print.

and a note that read "We WILL Pay"

Finally at aproximately anywhere from 6pm - 1am the dresses previously stolen from the laundromat were returned to the premises covered in sewer filth. In its place an IOU note detailed 2 new missing dresses and 2 pairs of jeans.

Crime prevention advice as provided by the experts :

Preventing crime pays!
Businesses are more at risk of crime than private households. Reducing the risk of crime will help protect your profits and make sure that the people who work with you are safe.

Everyone needs to play a part in tackling crime effectively - the police and other public services, businesses and residents.

If you’ve already been a victim of crime, taking action to prevent further incidents is particularly important.
Whatever you decide:
● do a few things - don’t rely on one solution
● involve everyone who works in your store and use their experience
● remember partnership pays! You’ll be able to do more by working with others.

Facts?: Police report as leaked to the press

OFFICIAL POLICE REPORT
DETAILING: Assault of Detective Kelsey Edelmann, April 24, 2010
NOT TO BE RELEASED TO PUBLIC BY ORDER OF: Detective Kelsey Edelmann
RATED CONFIDENTIAL BY ORDER OF: Detective Kelsey Edelmann

At approximately 11 AM SLT, Detective Edelmann noted a woman in a business-type skirt suit motioning towards her by Zoe's Cafe.

After being approached by Detective Edelmann the woman proceeded to overpower the detective, forcing her to the ground where she was bound, gagged, and blindfolded. She was forced to walk to the vacant lot next to Zoe's where she had her trousers forcibly removed, and was hogtied with additional rope. Her hosiery was slid down and her service revolver was inserted into her vagina while her pepper spray canister was forced into her anus. Both were secured with additional rope before red lipstick was used to write "Stay out of town" and "FBI" on her buttocks. Nylon fishing wire was then bound to the trigger of Detective Edelmann's revolver, and then run around the vicinity with sufficient tension so that a careless rescuer could trip the wire and unintentionally pull the trigger of the revolver. Finally, Detective Edelmann's hosiery was then pulled back up, further ensuring that Detective Edelmann would not be able to expel these devices.

Due to the writing on her buttocks as well as the well dressed nature of her assailant, Detective Edelmann is concerned that inter-agency rivalry between the SRPD and FBI, taken too far, could be the cause of her assault. In addtion to the writing on her buttocks, the assailant stated to Detective Edelmann that "You can deliver my message dead or alive" and "You be a good messenger and make sure that the people at the top get to hear of it," while also taking efforts to further humiliate Detective Edelmann and show disrespect for the SRPD. Detective Edelmann's police badge was affixed to her notebook, and placed under her chin, where they became soaked with saliva due to the drooling caused by the ballgag lodged in the detective's mouth.

Detective Edelmann was eventually freed without further incident at approximately 1 PM SLT by Ms. Mayumi Inaka, a local citizen in good standing. Ms. Inaka has assured Detective Edelmann that she will refrain from informing the news media about what she saw or discussing the matter on the internet as per the wishes of Detective Edelmann.

A page on Dita's office notepad.

Transcribed Notes :

Over coffee with Nancy Neiro, who claims to be Laura Dreadlow's cousin.
She popped by the office to confirm news of Laura's death to be true.
She disclosed that emails sent by Laura to her in past weeks prior to her disappearance seemed darker.
Neiro runs her own IT consultancy and has contracts with some major software firms and had been convinced before returning to the bay area, that Laura would have followed her footsteps and gone to MIT.
Neiro also mentions Laura frequently talked about the 7 Sins Club of which Laura seemed an alleged frequent patron.
Neiro also mentions Laura had a close friend named Q.

At this point, my own investigations seem to have come to a bit of a lull.. apart from Mr Ninetail's suspicions on the possible motives for Laura's death and its connection to a similar death in Beaverly hills.
On a more disturbing vein… Louise seems to have disappeared. I'm hoping there is no connection to the two circumstances.

*Notes to self *
Must look into Q,
Still researching the real Laura Dreadlow article.
Must look into the 7 Sins Club more closely.
Is the murder connected to some underground trade in illicit medical surgeries?
Must post these pictures to Agent Dresden.
