News: New Ownership at Daily Sinner

Sinner's Bay renowned and respected news publication, the Daily Sinner, find itself under new ownership this week after declining sales and decreasing subscription renewals threatened to drive the local institution out of business. Tough economic times and a cultural shift away from paper publications to electronic media alternatives caused the Sinner to post heavy losses over the past three quarters. The paper stood on the brink of extinction.

But that has all changed thanks to Dante Haustraun stepping forward and purchasing majority ownership of the newspaper. "The Sinner is too important to this great community for it not to continue on. The people of the Bay depend on the Sinner to keep them informed of the news that affects their lives. I won't allow it to fail," he said.

Haustraun, most recently the Director of the now-dormant Collaborative Local Union of Businesses (C.L.U.B.), brings his many years of business experience and leadership to the flagging Sinner. The previous majority owner, Dita Actor, remains on the board of directors and will continue to work for the paper as its leading journalist.

The Daily Sinner is currently hiring. Please contact Dante Haustraun directly for more information.
